இல்லம் தேடிக்கல்வி மையம் ஆய்வு 

கரூர் மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள அரசு பள்ளிகள், குடியிருப்பு பகுதிகளில் தற்போது வரை 3258 இல்லம் தேடிக்கல்வி மையங்கள் மூலம் 47,381 அரசு பள்ளி மாணவர்கள் இத்திட்டத்தில் இணைந்து பயன் பெற்று வருகிறார்கள்.

 தாந்தோணிமலை பகுதியில் உள்ள காளியப்பனூரில் நடைபெற்று வரும் இல்லம் தேடிக் கல்வி மையத்தை மாவட்ட கலெக்டர் பிரபுசங்கர் பார்வையிட்டு ஆய்வு செய்தார். 

1 முதல் 8 வகுப்பு வரை பள்ளிகளில் பயிலும் மாணவர்களின் கற்றல் இடைவெளி மற்றும் இழப்புகளை ஈடுசெய்வதற்காகத் தன்னார்வலர்களைக் கொண்டு தினசரி 1 மணி முதல் 1½ மணிநேரம் (மாலை 5 முதல் 7 மணிக்குள்) குறைதீர்கற்றல் செயல்பாடுகளை மேற்கொண்டு கற்றல்திறனை மேம்படுத்தும் வகையில் இல்லம்தேடிக்கல்வி எனும் திட்டத்தை அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டு, தற்போது இத்திட்டம் தொடர்ந்து செயல்படுத்தப்பட்டு வருகிறது. இத்திட்டம் மூலம் பள்ளி நேரங்களைத் தவிர பள்ளி வளாகங்களுக்கு வெளியே மற்றும் மாணவர்களின் வசிப்பிடம் அருகே சிறிய குழுக்கள் மூலம் தன்னார்வலர்களின் பங்களிப்புடன் மாணவர்களுக்கு கற்றல் வாய்ப்பு வழங்கப்பட்டுவருகிறது.

 மாணவர்கள், பள்ளிச்சூழலின் கீழ் ஏற்கனவே பெற்றுள்ள கற்றல் திறன்களை இல்லம்தேடிக்கல்வி திட்டச்செயல்பாடுகளின் வாயிலாக மீண்டும் வலுப்படுத்தப்படுகிறது. இத்திட்டம் தினசரி குறைந்தபட்சம் 1 மணிமுதல் 1½ மணிநேரம் மாணவர்களுக்கு எளிய முறையில் கற்றல் வாய்ப்பை வழங்கிவருகிறது. 

பள்ளிசெல்லாக் குழந்தைகளை கண்டறிந்து, மீண்டும் பள்ளியில் கற்றல் வாய்ப்பை வழங்கிவருகிறது. பள்ளிக்கு தொடர்ந்து வருகை புரியாத மாணவர்களை கண்டறிந்து, மீண்டும் பள்ளியில் வாய்ப்பை வழங்கி வருகிறது என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது. 

Home Search Education Center 

Survey Till now 47,381 government school students are benefiting from this program through 3258 home search and education centers in government schools and residential areas in Karur district. 

District Collector Prabhu Shankar visited and inspected the Home Search and Education Center in Kaliyappanur in Dandonimalai area. 

In order to compensate for the learning gaps and losses of students studying in schools from class 1 to 8, a program called Illam thedi Kalvi has been introduced to improve the learning ability by carrying out problem-solving activities for 1 hour to 1½ hours daily (between 5 to 7 pm) with volunteers, and the program is currently being implemented continuously. Through this program, students are provided learning opportunities outside of school hours outside the school premises and in small groups near the student's residence with the participation of volunteers. The learning skills that students have already acquired in the school environment are re-enforced through homeschooling program activities. This program provides an opportunity for students to learn in a simple way for a minimum of 1 hour to 1½ hours daily.

School check identifies children and provides learning opportunities back at school. It is noteworthy that students who do not attend school regularly are being identified and given a chance to return to school.
