மத்திய உயர்கல்வி நிறுவனங்களில் (என்ஜினீயரிங்) சேருவதற்கு ஜே.இ.இ. நுழைவுத்தேர்வு ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் நடத்தப்படுகிறது. அந்த வகையில் 2023-ம் ஆண்டுக்கான ஜே.இ.இ. முதல்கட்ட நுழைவுத்தேர்வுக்கான விண்ணப்பப்பதிவு தொடங்கியுள்ள நிலையில், அதில் தமிழக மாணவர்கள் விண்ணப்பிப்பதில் சிக்கல் ஏற்பட்டிருக்கிறது. ஜே.இ.இ. நுழைவுத்தேர்வுக்கு விண்ணப்பிக்க 10-ம் வகுப்பு மதிப்பெண் கட்டாயம் என்று தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டு உள்ளது. 

அதன்படி, தற்போது 12-ம் வகுப்பு முடிக்க இருக்கும் தமிழக மாணவர்கள், கொரோனா காலத்தில் 10-ம் வகுப்பு முடித்தனர். அப்போது பொதுத்தேர்வு நடத்தப்படாமல், தேர்ச்சி சான்றிதழ் மட்டும் வழங்கப்பட்டது. இதனாலேயே தமிழக மாணவர்கள் ஜே.இ.இ. நுழைவுத்தேர்வுக்கு விண்ணப்பிக்க முடியாமல் தவிப்பதாக செய்திகள் வெளியாகின. 

இதையடுத்து பள்ளிக்கல்வித்துறை மாணவர்களின் நலன் கருதி, தேர்வை நடத்தும் தேசிய தேர்வு முகமையிடம் இதுதொடர்பாக பேசி வருவதாகவும், விரைவில் இதற்கான தீர்வு காணப்பட உள்ளதாகவும் தெரிவித்திருக்கிறது. விரைவில் தீர்வு இதுகுறித்து பள்ளிக்கல்வித்துறை ஆணையர் நந்தகுமார் வெளியிட்டுள்ள அறிக்கையில் கூறியிருப்பதாவது:- ஜே.இ.இ. தேர்வுக்கு விண்ணப்பிக்கும்போது 10-ம் வகுப்பு மதிப்பெண் அல்லது தரநிலை கேட்கப்படுகிறது. ஆனால் நம் மாணவர்கள் அதை பூர்த்தி செய்ய முடியாத நிலையில் இருக்கின்றனர்.

 கொரோனா தொற்று அவசர நிலையை மனதில் கொண்டு, தமிழ்நாட்டு மாணவர்கள் 10-ம் வகுப்பு மதிப்பெண்களை பூர்த்தி செய்யாமலேயே விண்ணப்பிக்கும் வசதி வேண்டும் என்று தேசிய தேர்வு முகமையிடம் தமிழ்நாடு பள்ளிக்கல்வித்துறை கோரிக்கை விடுத்திருக்கிறது. தேசிய தேர்வு முகமையும் இந்த பிரச்சினைக்கு விரைவில் தீர்வு காணப்படும் என உறுதி அளித்துள்ளது. எனவே ஜே.இ.இ. தேர்வுக்கு தயாராகும் மாணவர்கள் பதற்றம் அடையாமல் தேர்வுக்கு தயாராகலாம்.

A quick solution has been issued by Commissioner of School Education, Nandakumar, who has said:- J.E.E. 10th class mark or standard is asked while applying for the exam. But our students are unable to fulfill it.

  Tamil Nadu Department of School Education has requested the National Examination Agency to provide the facility for students of Tamil Nadu to apply without completing the 10th class marks keeping in mind the emergency situation of Corona infection. The National Examinations Agency has also assured that the issue will be resolved soon. So JEE Students who are preparing for the exam can prepare for the exam without getting nervous.
