ஆன்லைன் பிஎச்.டி. படிப்புகளுக்கு அங்கீகாரம் இல்லை... மாணவர்களுக்கு யுஜிசி எச்சரிக்கை

ஆன்லைன் மற்றும் தொலைதூர முறையில் கல்வி கற்பவர்களின் எண்ணிக்கை, மிக அதிகமாக உயர்ந்துள்ள நிலையில், ஆன்லைன் வழியாக மேற்கொள்ளப்படும் பிஎச்.டி. படிப்புகள் செல்லாது என யுஜிசி அறிவித்துள்ளது. கொரோனா ஊரடங்கு காலத்திற்குப் பிறகு, இந்தியாவில் ஆன்லைன் எனப்படும் இணையவழி மூலம் கல்வி கற்பவர்களின் எண்ணிக்கை 170 சதவீதமும், தொலைதூர கல்வி முறையில் படிப்பவர்களின் எண்ணிக்கை 42 சதவீதமும் அதிகரித்துள்ளது. 

 கடந்த 2020-21-ம் கல்வியாண்டில் 25 ஆயிரத்து 905 பேர் ஆன்லைன் மூலம் பல்வேறு படிப்புகளைப் பயின்று வந்த நிலையில், 2021-22-ஆம் ஆண்டில் 70 ஆயிரத்து 23-ஆக அதிகரித்துள்ளது. இதேபோல், தொலைதூர அடிப்படையில், கடந்த 2020-21-ம் கல்வியாண்டில் 14 லட்சத்து 60 ஆயிரம் பேர் படித்த நிலையில், 2021-22ஆம் ஆண்டில் 20 லட்சத்து 30 ஆயிரமாக அதிகரித்துள்ளது.

 ஆன்லைன் கல்விமுறையில் கர்நாடகா, மகாராஷ்டிரா, உத்தரபிரதேசம், ராஜஸ்தான், டெல்லி ஆகிய 5 மாநிலங்களும், தொலைதூரக் கல்விமுறையில் டெல்லி, மகாராஷ்டிரா, தமிழ்நாடு, குஜராத், மேற்கு வங்கம் ஆகிய மாநிலங்களும் முன்னிலையில் இருக்கின்றன.நாடு முழுவதும் 66 உயர்கல்வி நிறுவனங்களில் 136 இளநிலை படிப்புகளும், 236 முதுநிலை படிப்புகளும் ஆன்லைன் மூலம் கற்பிக்கப்படுகின்றன.

 இதில், இளநிலையில், அதிகபட்சமாக பிபிஏ படிப்பில் 13 ஆயிரத்து 764 பேரும், முதுநிலையில் எம்.பி.ஏ. படிப்பில் 28 ஆயிரத்து 956 பேரும் பயின்று வருகின்றனர். இந்த நிலையில், தனியார் கல்வி மற்றும் பயிற்சி நிலையங்கள் வெளிநாட்டு கல்வி நிலையங்களுடன் புரிந்துணர்வு ஒப்பந்தத்தின் மூலம் ஆன்லைன் வழியில் வழங்கும் பிஎச்டி படிப்புகள் செல்லாது என யுஜிசி எனப்படும் பல்கலைக்கழக மானியக்குழு அறிவித்துள்ளது.

எனவே, இதுபோன்ற விளம்பரங்களை கண்டு மாணவர்களும், பொதுமக்களும் ஏமாற வேண்டாம் என்றும் கூறியுள்ள யுஜிசி, அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட ஆராய்ச்சி நிறுவனங்கள், பல்கலைக்கழகங்கள் மற்றும் கல்லூரிகளில் மட்டுமே பிஎச்டி பயில வேண்டும் என்றும் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

 இதை கல்வியாளர்கள் வரவேற்றுள்ளனர். அதேநேரத்தில், மாணவர்கள் மற்றும் பொதுமக்களுக்கு விழிப்புணர்வு ஏற்படுத்தும் வகையில், நிலையான வழிகாட்டு நெறிமுறைகளை வெளியிட வேண்டும் என்றும் கல்வியாளர்கள் வலியுறுத்தியுள்ளனர்.

Online Ph.D. Courses are not recognized... UGC warning to students

As the number of online and distance learners has grown exponentially, online Ph.D. UGC has declared courses void. After the Corona lockdown period, the number of people studying online in India has increased by 170 percent and the number of distance education students has increased by 42 percent.

 In the last academic year 2020-21, 25 thousand 905 people studied various courses through online, and in the year 2021-22, it has increased to 70 thousand 23. Similarly, on distance basis, in the last academic year 2020-21, 14 lakh 60 thousand people studied, it has increased to 20 lakh 30 thousand in 2021-22.

 Karnataka, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Delhi are the 5 states in the online education system and Delhi, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and West Bengal in the distance education system. 136 undergraduate courses and 236 postgraduate courses are taught online in 66 higher education institutions across the country.

 Out of which, maximum 13 thousand 764 people are in BBA course in junior level and M.B.A in master level. 28 thousand 956 people are studying in the course. In this situation, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has announced that PhD courses offered online by private education and training institutes through MoUs with foreign educational institutes will be invalid.

Therefore, the UGC has said that students and the general public should not be fooled by such advertisements and said that Ph.D should be pursued only in recognized research institutes, universities and colleges.

 Academics have welcomed this. At the same time, academicians have also insisted on the publication of standard guidelines to create awareness among students and the public.
