நீலகிரி, தஞ்சாவூர், திருவாரூர், நாகப்பட்டினம் ஆகிய மாவட்டங்களில் மிக கன மழை பெய்யும் என சென்னை வானிலை ஆய்வு மையம் அறிவித்துள்ளது. இது குறித்து, சென்னை வானிலை மைய இயக்குனர் செந்தாமரை கண்ணன் வெளியிட்ட அறிக்கையில் கூறியிருப்பதாவது: 

 தெற்கு வங்க கடல் பகுதிகளில், வளி மண்டல மேலடுக்கு சுழற்சி நிலவுகிறது. இதனால் நீலகிரி, தஞ்சாவூர், திருவாரூர், நாகப்பட்டினம் ஆகிய மாவட்டங்களில் இன்று மிக கனமழை பெய்ய வாய்ப்புள்ளது. 

அதேபோல், கிருஷ்ணகிரி, தர்மபுரி, திருப்பத்துார், வேலுார், ராணிப்பேட்டை, திருவண்ணாமலை, கள்ளக்குறிச்சி, கடலுார், சேலம், ஈரோடு, நாமக்கல், கரூர், கோவை, திருப்பூர், திண்டுக்கல், தேனி, திருச்சி, பெரம்பலுார், அரியலுார், தஞ்சாவூர், திருவாரூர், நாகை மற்றும் மயிலாடுதுறை மாவட்டங்களில் இன்று கனமழை பெய்யக்கூடும். 

நாளை (அக்.,10): நீலகிரி, ஈரோடு, நாமக்கல், சேலம், கிருஷ்ணகிரி, தர்மபுரி, திருப்பத்துார், வேலுார், ராணிப்பேட்டை, காஞ்சிபுரம், செங்கல்பட்டு, திருவண்ணாமலை, கள்ளக்குறிச்சி, விழுப்புரம் மற்றும் கடலுார் ஆகிய மாவட்டங்களில் கனமழை பெய்ய வாய்ப்புள்ளது. 

தமிழகம், காரைக்கால் மற்றும் புதுச்சேரியில் ஆகிய இடங்களில் இன்று முதல் ஐந்து நாட்களுக்கு கன மழை தொடரும்.சென்னையில் பொறுத்தவரை, அடுத்த 48 மணி நேரத்திற்கு, வானம் மேகமூட்டமாக காணப்படும். நகரின் சில பகுதிகளில் இடி மின்னலுடன் கூடிய மிதமான மழை பெய்யக்கூடும். அதிகப்பட்ச வெப்பநிலை 33-34 டிகிரி செல்சியஸ் மற்றும் குறைந்தபட்ச வெப்பநிலை 25-26 டிகிரி செல்சியஸ் அளவில் இருக்கக்கூடும். இவ்வாறு அந்த அறிக்கையில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.

The Chennai Meteorological Department has announced that the districts of Nilgiris, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur and Nagapattinam will receive very heavy rains. Regarding this, Sentamarai Kannan, Director of Chennai Meteorological Center has said in a statement:

 Over the South Bay of Bengal, a gyre zonal upper circulation prevails. As a result, Nilgiris, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur and Nagapattinam districts are likely to receive very heavy rains today.

Similarly, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Tirupattur, Veluar, Ranipet, Tiruvannamalai, Kallakurichi, Cuddalore, Salem, Erode, Namakkal, Karur, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Dindigul, Theni, Trichy, Perambalur, Ariyalur, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagai and Mayiladuthurai districts received heavy rain today. It may rain.

Tomorrow (Oct 10): Nilgiris, Erode, Namakkal, Salem, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Tirupattur, Vellore, Ranipet, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, Thiruvannamalai, Kallakurichi, Villupuram and Cuddalore districts are likely to receive heavy rain.

Heavy rain will continue in Tamil Nadu, Karaikal and Puducherry for five days from today. As for Chennai, the sky will remain cloudy for the next 48 hours. Some parts of the city may experience moderate rain with thunder and lightning. The maximum temperature will be around 33-34 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature will be around 25-26 degree Celsius. This is stated in the report.
