நாளை(செப்.,02) : நீலகிரி, கோவை, தேனி, திருப்பூர், ஈரோடு, கிருஷ்ணகிரி, தர்மபுரி, , திண்டுக்கல் மற்றும் சேலம் ஆகிய மாவட்டங்களில் கன மழை பெய்ய வாய்ப்புள்ளது.தமிழகம், புதுச்சேரி மற்றும் காரைக்கால் பகுதிகளில் இன்று முதல் நான்கு நாட்களுக்கு சில இடங்களில் இடி மின்னலுடன் கூடிய லேசானது முதல் மிதமான மழைபெய்யக்கூடும். சென்னையை பொறுத்தவரை வானம் மேகமூட்டத்துடன் காணப்படும். நகரின் சில பகுதிகளில் இடி மின்னலுடன் கூடிய லேசானது முதல் மிதமான மழை பெய்யக்கூடும். அதிகபட்ச வெப்பநிலை 34-35 டிகிரி செல்சியஸ் மற்றும் குறைந்தபட்ச வெ ப்பநிலை 26 டிகிரி செல்சியஸ் அளவில் இருக்கக்கூடும்.

Tomorrow (Sep.02) : Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Theni, Tirupur, Erode, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, , Dindigul and Salem districts are likely to receive heavy rain. Light to thundershowers with thundershowers at isolated places from today for four days in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. Moderate rain likely. The sky will be cloudy for Chennai. Light to moderate rain accompanied by thundershowers may occur over some parts of the city. The maximum temperature will be around 34-35°C and the minimum temperature will be around 26°C.

Cyclonic winds of 40 to 50 kmph are likely to occur over the Kumari Sea, Gulf of Mannar, coastal areas of Tamil Nadu and South West Bay of Bengal adjacent to Sri Lanka. Cyclonic winds may blow at a speed of 45 to 55 kmph over Kerala-Karnataka coastal areas, Lakshadweep-Maldives areas and adjoining Arabian Sea areas. Fishermen are advised not to go to these areas today. This is stated in the report.
